Varun joined CROMPTONS in March 2017 and made partner in January 2018. Immediately before joining CROMPTONS, Varun practised as a sole Suva solicitor for 5 years from February 2012 to February 2017. Prior to his sole practice, gained experience in private practice with Fa & Company and Howards Lawyers.
Since admission in 2008, Varun has been continually appearing in all levels of Fiji's Courts and has gained a broad range of experience and expertise in conducting civil and commercial litigation across a range of issues and disputes including mortgagor mortgagee disputes, receivership actions, securities and debt recovery actions, contractual disputes, action for vacant possession of property.

Varunendra Prasad leads the firm's dispute resolution practice, handling both civil and commercial cases, including in relation to property and debt recovery. Caroll practices in commercial law, general conveyancing of Fiji properties, dealing with Fiji Estate matters for local as well as overseas clients and registration of Fiji Trademarks as a Fiji IP Lawyer.
She was admitted in 2005 and has been with CROMPTONS since then. She has gained substantial experience in dealing with not only ordinary but complex and complicated commercial and conveyancing transactions as well as estate matters.
She also practices and deals with Child Adoption applications.
Caroll is a member of the Fiji Women Lawyers Association and full member of the Fiji Law Society.
Arishma joins the Cromptons team with substantial experience in the legal field. Arishma completed her Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree in 2007, and Professional Diploma in Legal Practice (PDLP) from University of the South Pacific (USP) in 2008. She was admitted to the High Court of Fiji as a Barrister and Solicitor in 2008. In 2011, Arishma graduated with her Postgraduate Cert. in Tertiary Teaching. In 2014, Arishma graduated with Master of Laws (LLM) from Deakin University, Australia.
In the initial years, Arishma mainly practiced with private law firms primarily focusing on civil, commercial, and family law matters. Later, Arishma joined the academia and taught at University of Fiji (2010-2016). At the University of Fiji, she taught law courses. Arishma was an integral part of various sub-committees (curriculum review, mentoring, debate, OHS, law exam moderation) and assisted with establishment and curriculum development of the Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice program (GDLP). She developed modules for the GDLP program. She was a key member of the curriculum review and restructure of the LLB program too.
During the tenure of her LLM, Arishma did extensive research on commercial law and international commercial law. In 2016, Arishma joined University of the South Pacific and taught Business law for 4 and 1/2 years. At USP she also developed and reviewed the Business law curriculum and completed the online conversion projects for Business law. She was also School of Accounting and Finance Debate Coordinator, leading the debate team and representing the school in debate committee meetings.
In July 2020, Arishma finished teaching at USP and took a career break. During this time, Arishma used her talents to redesign her home and garden. She also wanted to be completely present and intentional around her two young children. She is rejuvenated, and back to private practice with fresher perspectives and an innovative mindset.
At Cromptons, Arishma primarily focuses on Fiji Intellectual Property law (IP laws) as she had taught general IP laws for many years.

Joana Chee – Manager - Fiji IP Services
Joana joined Cromptons in 2004 and has over 20 years of work experience having worked in other top tier firms as a Legal Secretary. Joana manages all Fiji trademarks and other intellectual property services instructions received by the firm.
Joana is an Associate Member of INTA (International Trademark Association).
